The Homemaker

The age old debate....discussed!

Pre-printed computer list: (Kyle's preference)

Pros

  • Its a complete list of everything your family should have in the house

  • You can walk around the kitchen/house and make sure everything that needs to be checked off is checked off. The ability to review the list of what your family uses on a regular basis.

Con's

  • Its on the computer and incase it dies you need a hard copy
  • You have to print it off of the computer (I usually print one and make 10-12 copies so I have them on hand

Handwritten list

Pro's

  • Write down what you need as you run out.
  • Don't have to deal with the computer

Cons

  • room for the most errors
  • Write down what you need as you run out each time
  • You lose the ability to review the list of what your family uses on a regular basis.

Kinds of hand written lists

1. As you think of an item

2. The Cross: Write a cross on a piece of paper and put Dairy on top of one square, meat on another, Boxed/Canned and Frozen.
