Where will I get the best deals?

Where are you going to shop?

In Brazos County

I suggest Wal-Mart arriving before 9am for your weekly shopping; Ive actually driven between HEB and Wal-Mart (pre-Parker) and compared prices. Most of the time I found that HEB when HEB was cheaper the quantity was smaller.

After you have started using a grocery list your next step is meal planning. Meal planning is determining what your family will eat over a given period of time. It can be for 1 week or one month, whatever works best for your family. I personally recommend planning for at least 2 weeks at a time. When you start meal planning start small plan for a week or two and then slowly add meals to the list. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Elsewhere in the World

When I lived in Houston I shopped at Gerlands because they double and tripled coupons and I would pay .25 for something that was 1.25. If you are not diligent in couponing then I urge you to use the local Super Wal-Mart if you think another store is cheaper then go to that store and write down at least 20 items you buy all the time the price, weight/quantity and brand name (it should be generic) and go to wal-Mart and compare it.
