Kim's Homemade cleaner Recipes

I don't remember where I got this all purpose cleaner recipe from, but it's the only thing I use in my home. I love it!

All Purpose Cleaner:

  • 1 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 1 cup ammonia
  • 1 Tbsp. dish washing liquid
  • 10 cups warm water

Combine ingredients in a large gallon jug. Pour some into a spray bottle. Label bottle as "All Purpose" cleaner. Spray mixture on windows/mirrors, countertops, stoves, toilets, etc., and wipe away.

The following wall washing solution is from The Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb. I use this every year when I do my spring cleaning and wash my walls. But be sure to use rubber gloves or your hands will be as dry as sand paper when your done.

Wall Washing Solution:

  • 1 gallon warm water
  • 1/2 cup ammonia
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup washing soda

Scouring Powder:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup borax
  • 1 cup salt

Mirror Cleaner: (from The Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb)

  • 50% rubbing alcohol
  • 50% water

Pour both into a spray bottle and label as "Glass Cleaner"
